As the summer season comes to an end it’s time to start to look forward to 2010. A big push will be made over the winter to expand the database to add all and any events planned for 2010. I will roll out some new features to group events by certain criteria.

Added a feature for each club/organiser to have their own personalised page. For example, Irish Road Club. Here you can see all the events organised by the club, the contact details and a brief summary of the club. These events can be included in Google Calendar/Miscrosoft Outlook/ iCalendar or in an RSS feed reader etc…
About 1000 UK events added.
Added a new front page feature. The sidebar now contains selected 4 featured events. These will be selected events that will show on the front page. Mail the admin if you want your event featured

Added around 2000 events from the French Cycling Federation (FFC) and about 1000 events from the Italian Cycling Federation calendar.
Over 200 Irish Events added for 2009. Most taken from Cycling Ireland calendar. Data needs to be cleaned up somewhat
Added some Italian and German translations to VRR but these need to be corrected by a native speaker. It’s on the todo list
The caching is also not working well for logged in users but even under the current broken scheme it will be useful for the users who are browsing the site without being being logged in
Well back working on this site and will make a major push over the next weeks to add as much data as possible to it.

Created a separate domain, deployed the app and added the forum and blog. Needs some work before broadcasting the address.
